Tate's 2nd Birthday

Tate kind of had two birthdays - on his actual birthday, the 12th, he went to a parade and we had cupcakes as a family since I was working that weekend (my last weekend and last nights I hope!) and then last Saturday we had a small family party. He loved both.

At the Swamp Fox parade with Aunt Stacy and Daddy on his birthday

Mmmm - cupcake from Jule's Bakery.
This is the growth chart my sister made for Tate - isn't it fabulous? If I look like I'm forcing him to stand against it to see how tall he is, it's because I am. Needless to say, measuring his height this way wasn't very accurate.
Opening presents. The 6 lb 11 oz Elmo cake. The red frosting was about 1-1/2 inches thick. Mmmm.
Blowing out candles - he blew them out himself on the first try!
Tate is just as much of a frosting lover as Dave and I.The school bus. Every day at daycare, the kids walk to the bus stop when the older kids get home from school. Apparantly there's a lot of waving at the kids on the school bus, because this is all Tate wants to do when he's in the bus.
Daddy crammed in the school bus. "Wave at the kids, daddy! Wave at the kids!"
Thanks for a great birthday, everyone!

Did he get a haircut? I love his hair in the last picture! I'm sorry I missed all that yummy cake, I mean giving Tate a hug on his birthday:)
