Crackin' me up on a daily basis

Tate has come up with two new sayings lately.  A couple of months ago I told him something was ginormous in reference to something that was very big.  For some reason he loves the word and uses it whenever referring to something big.  It has been very cold the past week or so, and anyone who knows me knows that I don't like to be outside in the cold (or heat, for that matter; I have a very narrow range of comfort).  Tate is a typical 3 year old in that the word "hurry" is not a part of his vocabulary.  I was trying to get him to quickly get out of the car and hurry into the warm doctor's office for my appointment, so I told him we could race.  He actually moved pretty fast, and as we were quickly walking in, he said "Mommy, it's GINORMOUS cold outside!"

Another time, we were at Kohl's doing some shopping and it was getting close to lunchtime.  Tate was doing pretty well, but told me he was hungry and wanted a snack.  I stopped to dig a granola bar out of my purse for him and he said:

"Mommy, are you hungry?"
"Maybe a little bit."
"Are you a little hungry, medium hungry, or ginormous hungry?  Because I'm GINORMOUS hungry."

So maybe the exact usage of the word has not sunken in, but at least he has the general concept!

He also has the opportunity to go out on short trips some Fridays in daycare when our daycare provider only has a couple of kids.  The other day I picked him up and was asking him what they did that day as I knew they were going to try and go somewhere.  He told me they had gone to Target and then to Old McDonalds.  I was confused.  Where in the world is Old McDonald's?  He told me that he had chicken nuggets, apples, and chocolate milk there for lunch.  I tried to clarify by asking him if it was just McDonald's, but he assured me that it was actually Old McDonald's.  Gotcha, buddy.  Not worth it to argue. :)
